Privacy

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our donors. We do not trade, rent or sell donor names.

“Personal information” is any information that can be used to distinguish, identify or contact a specific individual. We keep the personal information you provide in strict confidence. Safeguards are in place to ensure that the information is not accessed, disclosed or shared more widely than necessary to achieve the purpose for which you allowed us to have it.

If you would like us to remove your name from our database, please contact us and we will do so.

The Foundation’s privacy statement outlines rules for our collection, use, disclosure and retention of personal information.

To demonstrate our commitment to our donors, The WoodGreen Foundation adheres to Imagine Canada’s voluntary Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Code. All of our staff are bound to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.

Accountability

Our financial statements are prepared in accordance with Canadian generally accepted accounting principles for not-for-profit organizations, and are also audited by an external auditor, KPMG LLP Chartered Accountants.
